Common Use

Micardis HCT is prescribed for the treatment of hypertension in adults. It combines an angiotensin II receptor blocker with a diuretic to improve blood pressure control and reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications such as stroke. It is typically used when single-drug therapy is insufficient.

Dosage and Direction

Take Micardis HCT exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. It is usually taken once daily, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not adjust the dose without medical advice.

Precautions

Before taking Micardis HCT, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease. Monitor blood pressure regularly. This medication may cause dizziness, especially at the start of therapy. Maintain adequate hydration while using the drug.
