Common Use

Ziac is a combination medication prescribed for high blood pressure (hypertension). It helps by reducing fluid retention and lowering heart rate, easing the workload on the heart.

Dosage and Direction

Take Ziac orally once daily, with or without food, exactly as prescribed. For consistent blood pressure control, take it at the same time each day.

Precautions

Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, asthma, or diabetes. Ziac may cause dizziness, especially when standing up quickly.

Contraindications

Do not use Ziac if you are allergic to bisoprolol, hydrochlorothiazide, sulfa drugs, or beta‑blockers. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe bradycardia, certain heart blockages, or anuria.

Possible Side Effects

Common side effects include fatigue, slow heartbeat, dizziness, and increased urination. In some cases, electrolyte imbalances or low blood pressure may occur.

Drug Interactions

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next scheduled dose. Do not double up to make up for a missed dose.

Overdose

Symptoms of overdose may include extreme dizziness, fainting, or difficulty breathing. Seek immediate medical attention if an overdose is suspected.

Storage

Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from moisture and heat. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
