Common Use

Vardenafil is an oral medication prescribed for treating erectile dysfunction. The drug works through the following mechanism:

• Sexual stimulation triggers nitric oxide release from penile nerves
• This activates guanylate cyclase enzyme
• The enzyme produces cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP)
• cGMP widens blood vessels in the penis
• Vardenafil prevents cGMP breakdown by phosphodiesterase-5
• This sustains blood flow for erectile function

Dosage and Direction

The standard Vardenafil dosage is:

1. 10 mg taken 1 hour before sexual activity
2. May increase to 20 mg if tolerated well
3. Reduce to 5 mg if side effects occur

Never exceed one tablet per day.

Important Precautions

Consult your doctor before use if you have:
