Common use

Tretiva is an oral medication used to treat severe acne that has not responded to other treatments. Isotretinoin, the active ingredient, reduces oil gland activity, inflammation, and the formation of acne lesions.

Dosage and direction

Take Tretiva exactly as prescribed, usually once or twice daily with food to improve absorption. Swallow the capsules whole with a full glass of water, do not crush or chew them.
