Common Use

Tadalafil is an effective, reversible, and selective inhibitor of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) specific to cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). During sexual stimulation, nitric oxide release leads to PDE5 inhibition by Tadalafil, increasing cGMP levels in the penile cavernous body. This relaxes arterial smooth muscles, enhancing blood flow to penile tissues and facilitating erections. Tadalafil only works with sexual stimulation and improves erectile function for successful intercourse. Effects last up to 36 hours, with onset as early as 16 minutes after ingestion.

Dosage and Direction

The recommended dose of Tadalafil is 20 mg, taken at least 16 minutes before sexual activity. Effects persist for 36 hours. Do not exceed the daily dose.
