Common Use

Poxet is used to treat premature ejaculation in men by increasing the time to ejaculation and improving control over ejaculation. It contains Dapoxetine, a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).

Dosage and Direction

Take Poxet 1 to 3 hours before anticipated sexual activity, with a full glass of water. It should not be taken more than once in 24 hours.

Precautions

Tell your doctor if you have a history of heart problems, depression, or liver issues before starting the medication. Avoid alcohol and recreational drugs, as they can intensify side effects like dizziness or fainting.

Contraindications

Do not use Poxet if you have heart failure, significant liver impairment, or are taking MAO inhibitors or thioridazine. It is not intended for men under 18 or over 65.

Possible Side Effects

Common side effects include nausea, dizziness, headache, and insomnia. Rare but serious effects may include fainting or changes in mood.

Drug Interaction

Poxet can interact with antidepressants, blood thinners, and other drugs that affect serotonin levels. Always consult your healthcare provider about all medications you're taking.

Missed Dose

Since Poxet is used as needed, missing a dose is usually not applicable. Do not take extra doses to make up for a missed one.

Overdose

Overdose may lead to severe dizziness, tremors, or serotonin syndrome. Seek emergency medical help immediately if an overdose is suspected.

Storage

Store in a dry place at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
