Grifulvin V is an antifungal medication used to treat fungal infections of the skin, scalp, and nails, including jock itch, athlete's foot, and barber's itch. These infections are often caused by dermatomycetes such as Trichophytons, Microsporums, and Epidermophytons. Grifulvin V is not effective against bacterial or yeast infections. It works by stopping the growth of fungi.

Dosage and Direction

Grifulvin V is taken orally and can also be applied topically. Take the tablets with a meal and a teaspoon of vegetable oil for better absorption. Treatment duration can range from several days to several months, depending on the condition. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Continue taking the medication daily until the first negative fungi analysis result, then maintain the same dose every other day for two weeks, followed by twice a week for another two weeks.

Precautions
