Common Use

Florinef is a glucocorticoid with the ability to retain sodium (Na+), excrete potassium (K+), and facilitate edema formation. It is primarily used to treat:

• Low levels of corticosteroid hormones (Addison's disease)
• Neurally mediated hypotension (sudden drop in blood pressure when standing)
• POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, characterized by increased heart rate when standing)
• Orthostatic hypotension (caused by disease or anti-Parkinson's medications)
• Chronic fatigue syndrome

Dosage and Direction

Take Florinef exactly as prescribed. Do not adjust your dose or stop taking it without consulting your doctor, as this may worsen side effects.

Precautions

Consult your doctor before using Florinef if you:

• Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding

Contraindications
