Venlafaxine is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). It is used to treat major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. Additionally, it helps reduce pain related to diabetic neuropathy and fibromyalgia.

Dosage and Direction

Take Effexor orally with a glass of water, either with or without food. Do not cut, crush, or chew the medication. Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Storage

Store the medication at room temperature, ideally between 68-77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C), away from light and moisture. Avoid storing it in the bathroom. Keep all medications out of reach of children and pets.
