Common Use

Cyklokapron tablets contain Tranexamic acid, a strong antifibrinolytic medication. They are used to treat severe bleeding, including:

• Heavy menstrual bleeding
• Post-surgical bleeding (e.g., after bladder surgery)
• Persistent nosebleeds

This medication can reduce menstrual blood loss by up to 58%. It is also effective for controlling severe bleeding in other medical situations.

Dosage and Directions

Take Cyklokapron orally with a glass of water, with or without food. A healthcare provider will determine the correct dosage.

• Typical dosage: 3 times daily
• Starting dose: Usually 2 tablets
• Swallow tablets whole, do not crush or chew
• Do not use for more than 5 consecutive days

Precautions
