Common Use
Chlorpromazine is an antipsychotic medication primarily used to treat schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. It is also used for severe behavioral problems, nausea and vomiting, and acute intermittent porphyria.
The drug works by blocking dopamine receptors in the brain, helping to reduce:

- Delusions
- Agitation
- Thought disturbances
