Common Use

Careprost contains the active ingredient Bimatoprost, a synthetic analogue of a naturally occurring chemical called prostaglandin. Prostaglandin plays a role in hair growth by extending the active growth phase of hair. This results in eyelashes becoming longer, darker, and filling in gaps caused by hypotrichosis.

Dosage and Direction

For optimal eyelash growth, follow these steps to use Careprost eye drops:

• Apply Careprost eye drops daily at the base of the upper eyelid. Avoid applying it to the lower eyelid.
• Ensure your face is clean and contact lenses are removed before application.
• Use the applicators provided in the box (30 pieces, sufficient for one month).
• Clean the applicator brush thoroughly before use to prevent contamination and infection.
• Apply one drop to the applicator and gently touch the skin of the upper eyelid margin.
• If the drops get into your eyes, there is no need to wash them off as they are harmless.

Precautions

Eyelash growth treatment requires commitment. Visible results typically appear after 8 weeks of continuous use, with maximum results around the 16th to 20th week. Discontinuing Careprost may cause eyelashes to revert to their pre-treatment state. Using more than the recommended amount will not enhance effectiveness and could reduce its efficacy. Always follow your doctor's instructions.

Contraindications

• Avoid using Careprost while wearing contact lenses, as the drug's ingredients may be absorbed by the lenses. Wait 15-20 minutes after application before reinserting lenses.
• Do not operate heavy machinery immediately after applying Careprost, as it may impair vision and lead to accidents.

Possible Side Effects

Common side effects include:

• Illusions
• Conjunctival hyperemia
• Stinging, pricking, or soreness in the eyelid
• Light sensitivity
• Dizziness or headache
• Cold or respiratory complications

Drug Interaction

Careprost eye drops may interact with Latanoprost. Always inform your doctor about any medications you are currently taking.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose.

Overdose

No serious overdose effects have been reported. If overdose is suspected, consult a doctor immediately.

Storage

• Store Careprost eye drops in a cool place below 25°C.
• Always replace the bottle cap to prevent contamination.
• Discard the bottle 4 weeks after opening.
