Common Use

Atorvastatin is a cholesterol-lowering medication used to treat high cholesterol and reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, or other heart complications in patients with coronary heart disease or type 2 diabetes. It helps remove harmful low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol from the blood and limits the body's ability to produce new LDL cholesterol. This can prevent artery hardening and heart disease, which may lead to vascular disease, heart attack, or stroke.

Dosage and Direction

Take Atorvastatin orally once daily with or without food, along with a full glass of water.

• The typical adult dose is 10 mg once daily.
• For children aged 10-17, the usual dose is 10 mg once daily.
• Not recommended for children under 10 years unless prescribed by a doctor.

Missed Dose
