Common Use

Atomoxetine contains atomoxetine HCL, a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Symptoms of ADHD, often noticeable in multiple social environments, include:

• Lack of concentration
• Distractibility
• Excessive restlessness
• Impulsiveness
• Disorganization
• Other similar conduct disorders

Dosage and Direction

Take Atomoxetine once or twice daily with or without food. Follow these guidelines:

• Swallow capsules whole, do not crush or sprinkle on food.
• Discontinuation does not require gradual dose reduction.
• Initial dose (for children, adolescents, and adults over 70 kg): 40 mg daily.
• May increase to 80 mg after at least 3 days if needed.
• Maximum dose (120 mg) may be considered after 2-4 weeks if symptoms persist.
