Common Use

Astelin is an antihistamine nasal spray used to treat allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itchy nose, and runny nose. This medication works by blocking the action of histamine, which helps reduce allergy symptoms. Astelin is also effective for treating nasal congestion and postnasal drip.

Dosage and Direction

Astelin should be used only in the nose, and contact with the eyes should be avoided. Before using the medication, blow your nose to clear the nasal passages. The recommended starting dose is 4 sprays per day. After three days, the dose can be reduced to 2 sprays per day.

Storage

Store Astelin at room temperature, between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius (68 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit). Keep the medication away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store it in the bathroom. Keep the bottle upright with the pump tightly closed, and protect it from freezing. Always keep Astelin out of the reach of children.
