Arpamyl is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes veins and arteries, making it easier for the heart to pump blood and reducing its workload. By blocking calcium entry into smooth muscle cells, Arpamyl helps:
- Relax arterial muscles

- Reduce peripheral resistance and blood pressure

It is prescribed for hypertension, angina, and certain irregular heartbeats.
Dosage and Direction
Take Arpamyl orally with or without food. The recommended daily dose ranges from 180 mg to 480 mg, which can be taken as:
- A single dose
- Two divided doses
- Three divided doses
Always follow your doctor's instructions and never exceed the prescribed dose.
Precautions
- Avoid alcohol, grapefruit, and grapefruit juice
- Alcohol may worsen dizziness or drowsiness
- Grapefruit interferes with drug absorption
- Rise slowly from sitting/lying positions to prevent dizziness
Contraindications
Do not use Arpamyl if you have:

- Severe left ventricular dysfunction
